Can I qualify for both the Triple 5K Tour of LA and Conquer LA Challenge medals?

Yes, but you’ll need to complete all events within each Challenge Medal.

How do you complete all 6 distances to qualify for both Challenge medals?

To qualify for both Challenge medals you need to complete the Santa Monica Classic 5K and 10K, both the Rose Bowl 5K and Half Marathon, and the LA Big 5K and Los Angeles Marathon
The Santa Monica Classic 5K can count toward the Triple 5K or the Conquer LA Challenge. The Santa Monica Classic 10K count toward the Conquer LA Challenge only.
If you want to do both Challenge Medals you cannot double-dip your 5K entry, you must do the 5K and the 10K.
If you did one Santa Monica Classic distance in person, you can complete the other distance virtually for a limited time.
If you did not participate in either distance in person, you can buy both a 5K and 10K entry virtually for a limited time.

Rose Bowl Half Marathon & 5K
The Rose Bowl 5K only counts to the Triple 5K and Rose Bowl Half only counts to the Conquer LA.
If you want to earn both Challenge medals, you have two options:
Register for both events (5K and half marathon) and wear both bibs on January 15 at the event, but complete the Half Marathon distance on that day. We will count the first 5K of your half marathon as your 5K time.
Register for one event in person and the other event virtually. The virtual option is ONLY available to people who want to use it for a Challenge medal qualification.
To do either of these options, please email or Customer Service team at solutions@mccourtfoundatoin.org
Please note, it is not possible to run the 5K and the half marathon (16.2 miles) on race day at the Rose Bowl due to the races starting at the same time.

LA Big 5K & Los Angeles Marathon
You must participate in both the LA Big 5K and LA Marathon in person, no exceptions. There will be no virtual participation for these events.

How do I know if I am qualified for challenge medals?

Log into your active account at myevents.active.com and confirm what events you are registered for and completed. If you do not see the expected events in your account email solutions@mccourtfoundation.org.

Can I still participate in the Challenge medals?

If you completed the 2022 Santa Monica Classic and the 2023 Rose Bowl Half Marathon or 5K, you can still add the LA Big 5K or Los Angeles Marathon to earn your medal! If you do not have one or both of the 2022 Santa Monica Classic and the 2023 Rose Bowl Half Marathon or 5K it is too late to earn these medals in 2023.
